Chicago & Helsinki (October 27, 2021) -- Revieve®, a personalized digital brand experience company for the beauty, skin, health and wellness categories co-headquartered in Chicago and Helsinki, is expanding its operations in Japan, to better support its retail, brand and digital service partners.

With the expansion, the company today announced that Masanobu Katoh and Dr. Akira Date, Ph.D., have joined the Revieve Advisory Board.

Katoh, an avid promoter of global open innovation, is currently President at MK Next, Inc. Previously,  Katoh served as EVP and Country Head of Japan at both Xinova and Intellectual Ventures, and spent more than 30 years at Fujitsu across a variety of roles including: Head of Law and IP, Chairman and CEO of Fujitsu Management Services of America, SVP of Fujitsu Laboratories, and EVP of the Fujitsu Research Institute.

A member of both the Washington D.C. and New York bars, Katoh received his Bachelors of Law degree at the University of Tokyo and Masters of Law degree from the University of Michigan Law School

Date, who earned a Ph.D. in Medical Bio-Engineering, as well as master’s degrees in Medicine and Management of Technology, at the Kyoto University Graduate School of Medical Science, spent 20 years at Procter & Gamble as a manager of global SK-II Design for Prestige, the former fine fragrance and cosmetics division of P&G, for brands D&G and Gucci. He was then VP and Scientific Medical Director at Pierre Fabre Group (Japan) before founding CID Group Corporation (Japan), where he currently serves as CEO.

Date has also held adjunct and visiting lecturer positions at Hyogo University of Health Sciences – Department of Medical Pharmacy, Keio University, Iwate University - Graduate School of Engineering and is currently visiting lecturer at Kyoto University – Graduate School of Medical Science. Additionally, he is the managing director and scientific advisor for the Japan Evidence Based Cosmetics Association (JEBCA) and scientific advisor for the Japan-China Cosmetic Technology Exchange Association (JCCTA).
